Sunday 5th April – Palm Sunday

It has been great to see many of you download the services for the last two weeks and we hope that it allows for a sense of connection during this time of separation.

Revd Joachim has prepared a service for this Sunday and it is again in two formats, Powerpoint and PDF, please use whichever is easiest for you. The PowerPoint contains links to music for the hymns. This week’s intercessions have been prepared by Ann Holland, in addition Roxana and Anastasia have prepared some prayers too. Links to both are included below.

Unfortunately we are unable to distribute Palm Crosses this year, so if you would like to make a paper cross instead (or one from foliage if you have suitable plants), here is a helpful video tutorial.

This Sunday we are also being asked, as a diocese, to stand on our doorsteps at 11am and pray the Lord’s Prayer.

“I think this is a wonderful idea. I believe we will each draw strength from knowing that wherever we are, and however isolated or fearful we might feel from time to time, we are united in fellowship. We will be sharing a prayer that expresses the essence of our faith, as well as our profound sense that God is the answer to our prayers. We are not alone.”              Bishop Philip

The Pews News contains, amongst other things, information about the Sunday service on BBC One, a forthcoming service for Good Friday and details of the Easter programming on the BBC.   Pews News – Palm Sunday
