We do not usually like to talk too much about money, however, as we are unable to meet together we have experienced a drop in our giving, but we still have our outgoings to homour. The following, from our Treasurer – Robert Dodd, highlights some of the different ways we can give at this time.
Would cash and envelope givers please continue with their donations either direct to Probus Church’s bank account (sort code 30-98-76 a/c no. 01999176) or via Robert at his home – Lelissick Barn, Probus. (phone 01726 883408).
Parish Giving Scheme
This is a new donation scheme available for everyone. The big advantage to us is that we receive the gift aid on the donation right away, rather than the next year when Robert makes the total claim for all donations. You may also agree to maintain the value of your donation automatically by increasing your donation by the rate of inflation each year. The scheme is also available to non gift aid givers.
You can enrol on the Parish Giving Scheme by phone (0333 002 1271) on weekdays 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. You only need to be able to quote Probus Parish Church, the PGS Code (390 639108) your bank account details, and the amount of your donation. PGS will then set up the direct debit on your behalf. It all takes less than 10 minutes.
If you are replacing your standing order donation, then you may wish to access your bank account to cancel it.
